Last fall I took one of my favorite Inwood Hill Park photos featuring a grouping of glorious acorns in the sun. Apparently, I am not the only one who was inspired by their beauty. Enter Etsy jeweler RENYLEILI who has made an acorn collection of bracelets, pendants, earrings and a necklace. I am still unsure if she is an Inwood resident (more information to come), but She is clearly is creative and talented and down with Inwood.
UPDATE: RENYLEILI is an Inwood resident... she writes that Inwood is the source of her inspirations.
It's been a long time since I checked out Inwood artwork on Etsy, and boy was I happy when I did. It seems Jerise has been hard at work over the past few months sketching nature in Inwood. Check these out and pick one up for yourself before I take them all for myself!
Although there are probably lots of Northern Manhattan artisans selling their wares, I rarely find items that actually feature our 'hoods. That is until I stumbled upon some images from TheWildSideWalk with its lovely "art pieces to wear, display, cherish and give to special people" and Corisa's shop filled with grainy delightful photos, photo prints and transfers.
I love this print of the walkway to Broadway between Good Shepherd and the apartment building on Cooper.
